
Takamine GY21E-SM New Yorker
This New Yorker model continues the long legacy of guitar building and guitar design. The sides and bottom is made out of mahogany and the top is manufactured of solid spruce. The neck has a width of 42,5mm at the nut and is made of mahogany carries a rosewood fretboard. The preamp that is used for GY21E-SM is Takamine TP-3G which has a 3-band equalizer and a built in tuner.

Takamine did start manufacturing guitars already back in 1959 but it was not until 1962 they took the name Takamine which is the name of the mountain close to the town Sakashita were the factory is located.
