During the mid seventies Peavey launched the Session 400. Initially it was aimed for steel guitar players but the clean but still warm tone also made it very popular for the common electric guitar player looking for a clean tone. The Session sound is now available in pedal preamp format which makes it easy to always have a really good clean tone at hand.
