Specialty Strings

Ernie Ball offers a variety of string sets and gauges for specialty instruments including mandolin, banjo, ukulele, and pedal steel guitars.

The ukulele strings are made from 100% nylon monofilament, providing smooth, rich tones with a percussive attack. The string’s plastic ball-end construction makes for faster, easier installation over traditional tie-end strings which can prove difficult to wrap at tension around the bridge post. Available in clear and black resin. Ernie Ball mandolin, 5-string banjo, and tenor banjo strings are manufactured with tin-plated steel-loop end strings that offer bright, crisp tone with excellent projection. These string sets are also available in our classic 80/20 bronze wire wrapped tin-plated steel core for excellent treble and pleasing overtones.
